Water and Wastewater Treatment

Fewer site visits and faster response to pump trips: treatment plants, pumping stations and reservoirs kept secure and their instruments read - including unmanned sites, watched remotely.

What It Does

From the site's existing cameras, with every alert and its snapshot sent to the right person.

Pumps and instruments

Pump-panel lamps read on camera - running hours per pump and shift, an alert on a trip - and analogue pressure gauges with alarm ranges.

Perimeter and unmanned sites

Intrusion and after-hours alerts at reservoirs, intakes and remote pumping stations, with snapshots to the duty officer's phone or the Remote Monitoring Service.

Restricted and hazardous areas

Alerts on entry into chlorine and chemical stores, dosing rooms and tank or clarifier edges, by schedule.

Person down

An alert when someone falls and stays down - important in chemical areas and lone-worker rounds.

Tankers and deliveries

Number-plate register for chemical, sludge and water tankers with time on site and overstay alerts.

Equipment and tamper

Alerts when pumps, panels or cable are removed or moved, and when a camera is covered or turned away.

What You Gain

  • Pump running hours and trips on record without site visits
  • Unmanned sites watched around the clock
  • Unsafe entry to chemical stores and tank edges flagged
  • A record of every tanker and visitor

What We Need on Site

  • Pump-panel lamps visible to a camera, about 10 pixels per lamp or more; gauges framed with their scale
  • Cameras with IR or lighting for night at reservoirs and intakes
  • A network link from each remote site to the server, about 4-8 Mbps per camera stream
  • A lane camera framed on the number plate at the tanker gate
  • A server sized by us for the cameras and analytics chosen, confirmed during the Proof of Concept

Where the Cameras Go

Pump houses and panel rooms

Pump-panel lamps: running hours per pump and shift, an alert on a trip; pressure gauges with alarm ranges

Licences: Core, Machine and Gauge

Chlorine and chemical stores, dosing rooms

Entry by schedule; helmet and vest; a person who falls and stays down

Licences: Core, PPE

Tank and clarifier edges

Unsafe entry by schedule; a person down

Licences: Core

Reservoirs, intakes and remote pumping stations

Intrusion and after-hours presence; a camera covered or turned away

Licences: Core, Remote Monitoring Service

Gate and tanker bay

Chemical, sludge and water tankers with time on site and overstay alerts

Licences: Core, ANPR

Stores and equipment yards

Pumps, panels or cable removed or moved

Where It's Used

Water treatment plants and reservoirs
Sewage and effluent treatment plants (STP / ETP)
Pumping stations and intake works, often unmanned

Built, and Offered as a Pilot Pilot

Built and running, and offered as a pilot on your own cameras.

Water level

The level read from a staff gauge or a marker post in view, with an alert above or below the set levels. Night use needs light on the gauge. Commissioned only after a validation on the site's own cameras.

Debris or foam at intake screens

An alert when a trash screen or intake is blocked with debris or covered in foam, and a note when it is clear again. Commissioned only after a validation on the site's own cameras.

Digital panel meters

Numeric LED and LCD displays read on camera, with an alert when a value stays outside its range. Commissioned only after a validation on the site's own cameras.
